Introduction

The objectives of this forum are based on the universal principles of honesty, transparency, trust, equity and justice. It promotes Inter-Provincial understanding, cooperation and harmony between the people and the governments of the four provinces with the ultimate objective of furthering national unity for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. It appreciates and endeavors to settle and resolve with possible consensus, contentious provincial vis-à-vis inter-provincial and federal-provincial issues. It strongly believes in the role and the wisdom of the people i.e. the civil society and the intelligentsia in forging and strengthening the bounds of close and cordial inter-provincial relationships. 

It strives for the making of a Pakistan that is safe, secure and a progressive country. It looks both at the small and the big picture and combines approaches to tackle not only the symptoms but underline the causes as well. This holistic approach results in diverse and innovative solutions at the local, provincial and the federal levels. It endeavors to establish an awareness of others culture, customs, views and perspectives and respect if their beliefs, and to appreciate the differences, to discover similarities and to develop empathy for others – all necessary for creating a harmonious environment critical to the national unity. Mutual interaction through dialogue and debate, to resolve conflicts, encourage and support tolerance, diplomacy, communication are its basic tools for conflict prevention and resolution.
